How an idea takes form…
The making of jewellery is based on Gerardo Sacco’s inspiration and
intuition, who runs the Company’s creative section. It
usually starts with historical-artistic research and from the desire to
create an object which stands for art, culture and originality! The
initial idea for the project is then developed in a graphic sketch
which, at first, is always done by hand. New technology aids
the artists with 2D and 3D software that allow them to simulate
the jewellery in its actual size and proportion. Once the design
has been accomplished, the actual model is created in wax, either
handmade or prototyped. It is extraordinary to create a jewel which,
besides having a strong visual impact, keeps alive the different phases
of the craftwork which are not automated. The Company’s most
important collections have always been patented as ornamental or
utility models, highlighting the Company’s innovative aspect.
